Make plans for family this weekend!  Connect with the loved ones you are sharing a hallway with, reach out to those across the miles or recharge your soul with a weekend of silence (or good friends).

For the first time, my family will be going to a tree farm to cut our own Christmas tree.  My husband will hang the lights on the tree with three kids following along helping.  We will decorate and argue about who will place the Angel on the tree.  We will enjoy a Christmas movie or two.  We will take a walk to look at Christmas lights.  We will say good-bye to the family that were here visiting for Thanksgiving.

And by Sunday night, I will not be the only one in my family hoping for snow (or a windstorm) so that we can steal away another day together.

Here are my interesting reads, creative ideas, and fun activities from across web!

♦  From familyshare, 20 questions to ask your grandma before its too late.  I wish my teenage self had been a better listener before my Grandpa passed away.

♦  Read up on traveling with kids this holiday season!  Trips with Tykes posts a Complete Guide to Speeding through Airport Security with Kids.

♦  Enjoy the lights of the season!  We went to the Bellevue Garden D’Lights display on Wednesday.  The kids love finding all the creatures made of lights.

♦  Still debating whether or not to stay with family this holiday season?  Book a room with Booking.com.  Many places offer rather generous cancellation policies!

♦   Create a custom Photo Book for Kids at Pinhole Press!  These are wonderful for the little people in your life!  These books are spiral bound board books that will keep the little ones connected with family!

♦  Haven’t ordered you Christmas Cards yet!  I’m waiting for my Cardstore order to arrive on Monday.  I’ve said it before, but I love Cardstore!

♦  Ordering gifts online this weekend?  I know I am!  Combined with our desire to have less stuff and buy more used, I am woefully behind in my Christmas shopping.  I am resigned now that I will not find everything I wanted at second-hand stores.  Here’s the list of what I’ll be buying this weekend.  Shh!  Don’t Tell!  Perplexus, Wikki Sticks, Perplexus Epic, and a Mandoline Slicer.
