October’s fingernails grow like wildfire! And when she gets fussy she’ll start clawing at you… it must be some reminant from our cave man days when babies needed to cling to their mothers for survival. But now, it just HURTS! So I decided to clip her nails today. Jeff held her while I clipped her nails. I was nearly done and doing the last thumb when I ended up clipping her skin rather than her thumb nail. Wow! Did she start cryin! Her thumb was bleeding and getting on her dress so we put a bandaid on it. But then as I was feeding her I realized that a bandaide might not be such a good idea. She has since learned how to suck her thumb and if she sucks the injured one with a bandaide she might suck the bandaide off and choke. So once it had stopped bleeding we took the bandaide off.
