A year ago I wrote how I was approaching the 20 pound overweight mark.  Well I am pleased to say since this time last year, I have lost all of the weight.  Now, I’d guess you’d say I have a problem worth complaining about??  Here’s my problem:

  • Summer 2004: Started trying to get pregnant.  Stopped buying regular clothes in anticipation of needing maternity clothes.
  • May 2006: First baby was born. 35 pound weight gain with pregnancy.  I buy clothes for my “new” post-baby body and begin purging clothes that I no longer fit into and can no longer imagine fitting into again.
  • September 2007: Back to pre-pregnancy weight!
  • October 2007: Discover I’m pregnant with baby #2.  Back to the maternity clothes!
  • July 2008:  Baby #2 arrives.  Only a 25 pound weight gain with this pregnancy.  Back to my “post-baby” clothes.  Still purge pre-baby clothes as I really can’t imagine fitting them again.  When did I buy such short shirts???
  • September 2009:  Pregnant with baby #3.  Back to the maternity clothes once again!  This time I have to buy more maternity shirts as I grew out of the shirts with a month left until babies arrival.
  • May 2010:  Baby #3 arrives.  A 30 pound weight gain with this pregnancy plus the extra 5-10 pounds I started with.  Buy a few more clothes that I can fit into without having to wear my maternity clothes anymore.
  • October/November/December 2010:  Life goes a little south and I eat lots of chocolate, cookies, candy and bread.  Gain back what few pounds I lost after Lavender arrives.  Clothes are getting tight.
  • May 2011:  Approach 20 pound overweight mark.  Get serious about dieting and exercising.
  • November 2011:  Close to loosing all 20 pounds!  My clothes are loose and a little sloppy.  If I wear a belt, I have the lumpy butt look going on.  I go goodwill shopping and buy a few pieces to get me through.
  • May 2012:  Lose all 20 pounds and am back to my pre-babies weight.  What few clothes I have left are those that are a little big, a lot worn, or date back to pre-2004.  In fact, the jeans I have on today are a pair my sister bought me for Christmas in 2001!

What a problem to have!
